***Eclipse Dog Training offers a uniquely personalised and comprehensive puppy school program. I am the only dog trainer in SE QLD who teaches based on the world-renowned Training Without Conflict system. Classes are usually full several weeks in advance, so I encourage you to book in now using the link below to avoid disappointment!***
Who: Our puppy preschool is for puppies who will be between the ages of 8 and 16 weeks old when class starts. Private lessons and board & train are available for older puppies.
Where: Kawana Girl Guides, 54 Iluka Ave, Buddina. Our small classes are great for personalised learning and feedback.
Our private, indoor venue is safe for puppies who haven't received all their vaccinations yet.
When: Class is every Saturday from 3-4 pm, rain or shine, for 5 weeks.
How: We start with an initial consultation in your home to get the basics in place before class starts. This prepares you and your puppy to get the most out of classes. We also talk about life skills such as toilet training and social dynamics in your home between humans and dog(s). All your questions get answered.
In puppy training classes we learn:
-understanding how your puppy learns
-developing a strong, trusting relationship through play, consistency, & boundaries
-structured play (tug with rules, chase and catch)
-essential obedience (sit, down, stay, recall/come when called)
-loose leash walking
-how to best reward your puppy (food, play, pats, or praise)
-when and how to fade out rewards from your puppy's training
-appropriate interactions with other dogs
-helping your puppy to settle at your feet for quiet time
-environmental socialisation
-confidence building
-how to read your puppy's body language and understand their needs
-equipment options: pros and cons (leashes, collars, harnesses, etc.)
Each puppy training class also has time for Q&A for us to discuss any other concerns you have with your puppy. Support via phone and email is provided between class sessions. Private lessons are also available.

What to Expect From Our Puppy Training on the Sunshine Coast
We understand that it may be challenging to find time to fit puppy classes into your life, so we host classes every Saturday afternoon for an hour. After five weeks of training, you should notice a big difference in your puppy’s behaviour. You will learn a lot, too!
We conduct group classes with a maximum of five puppies in a class. Also, if you’d like to bring the whole family or some friends along, we welcome everybody. Our setting ensures that your pup gains socialisation skills essential to help dictate their behaviour around other dogs and people.
Our venue is quiet and private, serving as the ideal space for your puppy to absorb new ideas and focus on you. The training begins with an initial home consultation that helps us impart basic training to the puppy. All your questions get answered, so you can feel confident managing and training your puppy before classes start. As a result, you and your puppy will get the most out of classes, and you can have a handle on the puppy when you’re home alone with them.
